Introduction
In July 2016 Sanjeevani institute for empowerment and development (SIED) has started work in Krishnapur village Babhulgaon tahasil of Yavatmal district with the finance of HDFC bank. the project has been started under the title of “Participatory Integrated community development program in Krishnapur village of Babhulgaon Block Dist Yavatmal” from this project we run different developmental activities in project area ‘Kitchen garden’ is important activity to for villagers to grow needed vegetables on open place of home which can gives fresh, residue free, organic vegetable and use it for their daily needs of kitchen also save expenditure on purchase of vegetables.
Family information and Past Condition
Pujatai Sanjay Ingole village Pimpalgaon is a house wife there are five members in her family husband Mr. Sanjay, Age 35,education BA and working in company, son Arnav, father in law Sheshrao and mother in law Kamal. For her small family daily need of vegetables is completed from purchasing vegetables from market and for that Rs 400 to 500 is requard weekly because of higher rate of vegetables her weekly Bajar get very expensive which is not affordable for her family.
Details about kitchen garden
Under HDFC bank project SIED give Kitchen garden to villagers with their participation in this activity different vegetables seed is given to the villagers in project area. In kitchen garden different vegetables like Tomato, Chilly, Brinjal, Cluster bean, Bitter guard, Okra, Fenugreek, spinach and Coriander this vegetables are grown in proper row and spacing which gives variety of vegetables to the family in daily basis. This kitchen garden is very easy to grow in less cost one important thing about kitchen garden is all vegetables are grown organically on open space of home. SIED gave required seed and all technical support to cultivate vegetables organically in kitchen garden.

My name is Puja Sanjay Ingole from Pimpalgaon village of Wardha District. I am house wife in my family there are five members I have interest in gardening but because of less knowledge I unable to grow kitchen garden but with help of SIED and HDFC bank kitchen gardens importance and awareness is done in village. I understand the importance of kitchen garden and grow kitchen garden in open space of my home because of kitchen garden now my family get fresh organic vegetable which is healthy and free of cost my family save Rs 200 to Rs 300 per week on vegetable purchase. Best thing of kitchen garden is healthy organic vegetables get available for my kitchen and extra vegetables we distribute to neighbors because of kitchen garden expenses on purchase vegetable from market is reduce. I am thankful to HDFC bank and SIED for help and guidance of grow kitchen garden.
